This is an upgrade over previously circulated copies of this show. The dates and song lists for 7/29 & 7/30 come directly from the boxes that the master reels are stored in.

Sorting out the dates from these few days in Vancouver may be a lost cause. Good luck to you archaeologists out there....
Meantime, we have some pleasant, if not staggering, early Dead to enjoy; Dancin' comes off best, although beware of those background vocals - they really do threaten to blow your speakers right out. Jerry is fairly low in the mix throughout, but the sound is clear and the recording cleanly done.
Schoolgirl is, too, well-played and jammed out a bit more than usual. Lots of harp work by Pigpen.

The Grateful Dead: Show #46? 47???
Well... Like many previous shows, nobody actually knows which of the 2 setlists belonged to this date. This show could belong to 1966-07-30 at the same venue. Old Dead can be brutal.
Tasting... Tasting... The introduction is hilarious. Micophonicus... Rex. Nark... Nark... That's what a dog with a harelip says.
Not much different with this show except the setting... First show truly out of town.

Great quality sound, mind-bending music. Who says time-travel ain't possible? Thanks Archive!
